Expanded polypropylene (EPP) is a particle foam based on polypropylene. Different from EPS, EPP is delivered without a foaming agent, so that expansion with foaming agent afterwards is not possible.
EPP has many applications due to its multifaceted characteristics. It can be used as packaging material, as housing or to protect against shock loads, moreover, it is used as heat and sound insulation.

TransTec
TransTec – The all-rounder for insert molding technique in the EPP sector
The TransTec is an energy-efficient, tiebarless two-axis machine with vertical mold split lines. During the production process molding and handling run simultaneously. The specially developed media transfer system makes it possible that only one shuttle-side gets in contact with steam, air, water and wastewater during production, the other shuttle-side remains unpressurized.
The TransTec belongs to our EPP Shuttle series.
This series is characterized by the following technical details:
- versions with single and double shuttle are available
