Flow Wrapping, or Horizontal Form-Fill and Seal (HFFS) is the process of making a horizontal bag from a single roll of film. Heat is applied to the bottom and ends of the film to form a sealed, flexible package already filled with products. Flow wrap packaging is used for a variety of products from food and bake goods to regular household items and stationary.
The VR-8 Indalo is a Flow Wrapping machine with rotating-head. It is complete with the necessary devices for packaging products without in-line support. It includes a 4-meter conveyor and an innovative “No Product No Bag” system.
The VR-8 Master is the top of the line flow wrapper in the VR-8 line and is our most versatile and flexible Flow Wrapping solution. It is available with multiple upgrades including a wider roller and bigger sealing head. The VR-8 Master is able to handle packages up to 33.5”.
The VR-7 are an upper sealing flow wrap system made from tubular steel. Independent motors allow for versatility in packaging speeds and easy material handling. The VR-7 Flow Wrapper is a top sealing flow wrap unit that is ideal for large leaf and round products.
The RGD VR-6 Sprinter flow wrap machine can auto-load and pack up to 120 packs per minute in just 5 meters. This system allows for a dramatic reduction in labour costs and a significant improvement of efficiency in the packaging process.
The system is awesome. We’re running peppers at speeds never thought of before and at times zucchini, cucumbers, and yellow squash. The machine is allowing us to reevaluate our packing operation from a labor perspective and that is a huge part of our operation.
