Stephens Mfg. has been building reclaimers for over 30 years. We have two different size classifiers and several different ways to handle the cement fines and waste water.
Both classifying units have special designed tail bearings that allow tail section of the screw to be lifted up for service and maintenance.
24″ Reclaimer
A unique material reclaiming system for washing and separating coarse and fine aggregates for stock piling and re-use. The 24″ ready mix reclaimer features separation of the coarse aggregates on a vibrating screen before processing the fines through the washing screw. Because course materials have a relatively small surface area per unit it is easy to wash with spray bars on a vibrating screen. The fine aggregates are conveyed to a different location for stock piling. Slurry water flows over adjustable weirs into settling ponds. The clarified water is recycled for washing out mixer truck.
The 24″ model has poly-urethane replaceable shoes on the auger. The system uses a 4’ x 8’ vibrating screen. The classifier is 1000 gallons with a 24″ auger. The collection hopper has two wash out stands for discharging two trucks at once. The unit includes a pump to recycle water, controls, starters and a main disconnect.
36″ Reclaimer
The 36″ ready mix reclaimer is a coarse and fine aggregate material reclaiming system. Reclaimed aggregates can be resold for fill material or washed, separated, and stock piled for re-use. Slurry water flows over adjustable weirs into settling ponds. The clarified water is recycled to wash out mixer trucks.
The 36″ model has a 1200 gallon classifier and a 36″ auger. The rock and sand are washed together and conveyed by auger. The 36″ model has replaceable “cast” shoes, and the collection hopper has wash stands for washing three (3) trucks out at the same time. (Vibrating screen to separate rock and sand is optional.) The unit includes a pump to recycle water, controls, starters and a main disconnect.
Slurry Recovery
Pond system: A pond system can be set up to catch the waste water and slurry water. The first pond can be a slurry pit and two agitators can be installed to keep cement fines in suspension. Stephens can supply a “Ni-hard” slurry pump to send slurry water to the batch plant as batching water. System will include a “Density Cell”; it will measure the specific gravity of the slurry (within 1%). This will allow you to add water if necessary to protect the pumps, and help with precision batching. A 3″ mag meter and a 3″ badger fresh water meter, will also be included to accurately measure the amount of slurry and grey water pumped to plant. The system has an automatic back flush setting to flush out and clean the lines.
Underground Tanks: Underground storage tank 5500 gallons, constructed of 3/16″ steel. Includes one 30″ x 15’ agitator to keep cement fines in suspension. Heavy duty universal joint to allow one end of agitator to be elevated for service and maintenance. System will include a “Density Cell”; it will measure the specific gravity of the slurry (within 1%).
