S6: Snow for Indoor Skiing and Winter Sports

Perfectly prepared slopes ensure a fantastic skiing experience even indoors: Optimized dry quality snow is produced for ski centers/snow domes. The snow is produced either directly above the slope or centrally, and is then transported and prepared using snow groomers.

Fresh snow every day

Snow is made only from air and water, just like in nature. The quality of the snow is very similar to natural snow, for an authentic skiing experience. The S6 snow gun is ideal for indoor ski centers. Unlike conventional snow guns, the S6 can deliver fresh snow every day, guaranteeing constant operation with snow of a consistently high quality.

Ideal for indoor ski centers

Snow production depends on two key parameters: temperature and humidity. This is where the real challenge lies in indoor facilities as the humidity tends to be too high. Traditional snowmaking systems are not suitable for indoor use: the snow is too wet and a fog develops, which negatively impacts inside conditions to even greater extent. A temperature of -8°C is required to produce snow at high humidity. TechnoAlpin has developed a special technique for this situation, which allows snow to be produced at -2°C, regardless of humidity. The energy requirement is therefore optimized.

S6: Powdery snow from -2°C

Thanks to a cooling system incorporated in the indoor snow machine, the S6 can create optimal conditions for the fine water particles to freeze immediately. The specially developed indoor snow nozzle is surrounded by an extremely cold air current which manages to produce more snow than conventional snowmaking systems. At the same time, the S6 releases fewer water particles into the surrounding air and does not affect indoor conditions during snow production.

Automated and clear

The S6 is operated automatically via a computer and the "Snow Control" software programmed on it. The quality of the snow can be changed depending on the application. Different settings are selected for initial snowmaking than for daily snowmaking. The snowmaking cycles are programmed as required and the machines can be controlled in groups.
