For high demands with limited space, the minichillers of the HYFRA eChilly series are the right solution. With their highly compressed design, the small cooling water recoolers fit into almost any machine layout. Their scratch-resistant stainless steel housing protects them even in harsh environments. The units of the HYFRA eChilly series are quickly put into operation because they are always available at short notice and are delivered ready to plug in.
Despite their small size, the chillers are convincing in terms of their equipment. The air filter installed as standard provides reliable protection against foreign bodies. The use of microchannel technology reduces the need for refrigerants by up to 70 percent. The HYFRA eChilly can be flexibly adapted using a wide range of options.
Reliable cooling in a small space
How does a mini chiller operate?
The HYFRA eChilly models are based on the principle of re-cooling water. The units cool the medium down to the temperature required in the process and provide the liquid in a tank. From there the cooled water is transported to the consumer, where it absorbs the heat from the application in a heat exchange process. The warm water then flows back to the cooler and the cycle starts again.
In which applications are mini chillers suitable?
Minichillers are used when there is little space available for the installation of the cooler and at the same time water is a suitable cooling medium. They cool machines and tools during drilling, welding, milling, and other forms of metalworking, but also during tool changes. Due to their compact size, small cooling water recirculating chillers are also frequently found in laboratories. There they are used for cooling autoclaves, reactors, measuring instruments, and other objects.
Robust basic control and optional extensions
All HYFRA eChilly models are equipped with the robust ST120 control. It has one relay each for monitoring the temperature and for controlling the compressor. On request, the chillers are also available with the FreeSmart control. This can be freely programmed, has digital and analog inputs and outputs, communicates via a TCP interface and can be connected to various applications.
